i have a very unpopular opinion on people when it comes to the Christchurch earthquakes

If you lost someone or something really bad did happen to you, then in which case i’m sorry for your loss and i’m sorry if this causes offence to you, it really isn’t my aim.

This is for everyone else, all the people who weren’t near town, who didn’t loose someone, didn’t loose their houses, didn’t loose anything minus tiny materialistic objects. I just want to say get over it, Learn what you needed to learn from it and get over, be sympathetic to those who have lost loved ones and had their lives ruined but please don’t make this about yourself. 

One year memorial i can understand but when, and i just know its going to be when, i hear about a big event going on for the second and third year and when i hear people who continued to choose chch to live in and complain about their lives being hard because of it, all i have to say is STFU.

Yes it was a big event for chch, but it was hardly a big event for any other part of the world. I may not be taking a massive stand for all the other awful things going on in the world but i at least have the grace to keep quiet about this small event.

im just ranting now.

it just makes me so angry about how insular people in this town are.
